In case anyone out there still hasn't noticed, Holic panel recycling like whoa in this chapter.
Page 5: "True name" is written and spoken in the exact same way as it appeared in Kurogane's oath from 182. So I say it's not enough to be passing judgement on Shaoran's identity. Besides, despite our speculations (yes, mine as well), nowhere in canon it's stated that a person's name is a deciding factor in eir identity. And there's also the possibility (I don't know how likely, couldn't find nicely organized information on Japanese+foreigner marriages and how the whole family registry thing goes) that Shaoran's surname isn't Li, considering that the name mentioned in the page was "Li Shaoran", which probably couldn't have been his real name anyway because it'd be a homonym with his father. Sorry, Horitsuba fans, I'm not buying "Xiao Long" just from this.
Page 10: While I can't deny that this solves the そっくり, I also can't help but feel a bit cheated that this turned out to be the reason. I was hoping for something far more obscure.
My current thoughts on Tsubasa. No, seriously. I want to see CLAMP try and get out of this mess without using the space-time collapse as the universal excuse to get away with not having things make sense. And damn, so much *headwall* at the initial motive they gave Shaoran. His story went down several coolness levels in my book for the whole "I don't have a wish but will go to Clow-koku anyway because it's my destiny" thing. It doesn't matter that the prophet is his mother and she probably wasn't lying, following prophecies just for the sake of following them is not cool. I wish CLAMP gives us a more decent initial motive later, because right now the stories of every other member of the gang (including the former member) feel more like "hero material" than Shaoran's story.

Tiny question: when do you think this flashback happened relative to the CCS timeline?

I have no reason to think Sakura and Shaoran would have waited too long to have a child, so I'd say between 15-20 years after they were last seen in CCS. But time in the Holic world seems to be sort of folding over, so it's possible that this flashback took place in a time frame that was supposed to fall within CCS, thus justifying what Yuuko told Watanuki about the real staff.

i really think this part is lame too, is something like "watanuki learn he must try to futfill his wwishes himsel so Xiao Lang is his almost identical twin" then he must say something in those lines to me
and thinking in the spoilers How many Sakuras there is out there because the one in the past of clone is dawther of Clow ou no Fujitaka ou????
there is 4 of them or what??

Can I ask you a question?
When I saw the splash page of chapter 189, I at once thought the two Syaorans were the same 'kind' of Syaoran - that is to say, the one on the left was "Syaoran" as we just saw him in this chapter, while the one on the right was the "Syaoran" who got his time rewound by Yuuko. Both young boys, though the second one just looks like he's young, but is actually a lot older. How did Yuuko already recieve the price (the star wand) without even meeting them? Thats is what I want Clamp to explain. Did one of Sakura's guardians decide to drop it off? Or maybe it was Eriol :D

I'm getting frustrated at the recycling of Sakura and Syaoran.
Well at least we have proof CCS!SxS =/= TRC!SxS
Still, for CCS!SxS to have a baby and for it to be a Syaoran who also falls in love with Sakura is weird. :/ It's like giving birth to yourself so that your child can fall in love with a new version of your spouse and start the cycle again.
*arghh*
I've been waiting two years and TRC isn't getting any easier to understand. (Actually its been getting more complicated) >_<
I'm holding out for a clear solution to the story.

I know, I thought that was a little bit too incestuous XD But I'm more confused over the CCS!Syaoran technically having himself as a son... How can two of the same soul exist in the same world? Argh! CLAMP is going to burn out my braincells by the time this is all explained lol!

But no. If Watanuki is Eriol's son and TRC!Shaoran is CCS!Shaoran's son, that makes for some pretty parallelism with the panels.

I always loved the parallels that were drawn between Syaoran and Eriol in CCS.
Even the way they were introduced to the storyline were VERY similar, but opposite. Syaoran shows up in Winter (moon) in the winter uniform (black)--Eriol shows up in Summer (sun) in the summer uniform (white).
Eriol is calm and mature and easygoing (but he was Fujitaka's age, sooo) and Syaoran is hotheaded, jealous, spazzy, and serious to a fault.
In the anime, Sakura's reflection is in Syaoran's left eye (moon)
and Eriol's right eye (sun). Eriol befriends her as soon as they meet, Syaoran declares "war" against her. lol
Eriol is the one knows dispenses advice and appears to know things Syaoran doesn't, whereas "Syaoran" does the same with Watanuki.
Eriol is a whole head taller than Syaoran, like Watanuki is to "Syaoran".
The panel where "Syaoran" tells Watanuki to protect Sakura until they arrive is like the one in CCS where Eriol tells Syaoran to calm down, and that if he doesn't lose himself in the moment, he'll become much stronger (since Syaoran is spazzing out since he wants to impress Sakura with his basketball skillz) XD but I think Eriol meant (and Syaoran realizes by his expression afterward) that he'll be stronger in order to protect Sakura.
I don't know which theory will be correct about Watanuki's identity, but it is fun to compare how similar he and "Syaoran" are to Eriol and Syaoran (only reversed).

well I guess they are similar in their wish to protect the ones they love as well.
