Side text: A new world is tied by the meeting with comrades and the feelings towards her mother. The future that extends ahead of her smile envelopes Kohane in "happiness"!!

Kohane: My wish

Page 2: So, this means the feathers were not supposed to time-travel, but some of them slipped through anyway. My biggest question is, was that the case with all worlds that received feathers several years before the gang's visit? Celes in particular? And a somewhat unsettling question is, did any other feathers make it into some random date in the Holic world?

Pages 3 and 4: ... Creepy.

Page 5: Ugh, thinking about these girls' condition is giving me a headache.

Page 8: Wait a goddamn minute. When exactly did this happen? From the spoilers I totally thought it was something Watanuki did before starting his part-time job, but I'm no longer so sure.

Page 11: Yuuko, you're such a softie.

Page 14: Such a nice family! ♥

Page 16: Few Holic chapters ended so cutely. Really, Kohane, you should totally get a part-time job at the shop while you still can.

Yay, first comment!

To be honest, page 3-4 made me go "OMG!!! WISH SHOP FINALLY COLLAPSING!!!11 YUS!!!!111". I was getting all excited, and then... "...damn... maybe not." It goes to show I'm really looking forward to seeng all hell break loose in HOLiC... XP

Well, you know Clamp, if it ends cutely now, there's totally going to be three kinds of hell to pay in the next chapter/volume. Incidentally, I like how this things with Sakura's feathers is suddenly causing the collapse of all of spacetime.

Both the spoilers and the actual text gave me the impression that Watanuki traded his memories before he started the part-time job.

That would be a bit too vague (Kohane only came into the shop in the recent chapters), though maybe if the Holic and Tsubasa timelines are desynched enough. I don't know, maybe it's just Yuuko's being weird in her lines.

page 08: I think 'that child' in this reference means R!Syaoran. It's kind of confusing, because Yuuko uses that phrase for just about anyone who's had a wish granted by her.

It would be nice if Kohane-chan could get a part-time job* at Yuuko's, once that probably the feather that she paid Yuuko will grant Watanuki's wishes for get free of ayakashis (someone still remember it?).

I liked the happy ending, it's happy only because Himawari-chan wasn't around.

And I felt like WTF when the shop started vanishing.

I still think Mokonas were made by Maru and Moro souls.

*Is it crime in Japan children work at shops? It still have better humane working conditions than being exploiting on tv by a nut mother, isn't?!

My impression during the first half of Holic was that instead of becoming free from ayakashi, Watanuki would learn how to deal with them (and that the same ability enables him to see pretty neat things like Kitsune-kun) and give up the wish.

As long as it's part-time and doesn't interfere with school, I don't think it's a crime, but I'm not sure.

I'm confused though, why do you say that you're not sure when Watanuki gave up his memories? Doesn't it say it was before he came to the shop, or am I missing something?

I thought Yuuko's phrasing was a bit weird in page 8, and furthermore what are those drawings supposed to be a flashback of? Watanuki's expression looked a bit too determined for them to be a flashback of chapter 1, but in that case... he came to the shop to make a wish before he first came to the shop? Is the paradox intentional because of the collapse of space-time, or what?

It could be another paradox, or maybe what Yuuko simply means is that from Watanuki's point of view, coming to the shop a second time would have been the very first one for him, if he really did lose that memory... that's what I understood from that sentence ^^

Thanks for the translation. Page 14 was my favorite, they do make such a cute family! But yes when we get happy things this it means it's all going to go to hell in a few chapters. T-T But it's nice while it lasts.

I'm saddened by the fact that Maru and Moro can't leave the shop...and that means that when it vanishes they'll vanish along with it...

I think he made the wish right after the Tsubasa gang first arrived...either that, or just after R!Syaoran turns up. I'm not sure. But happyfamily!Watanuki+Kohane+Doumeki make me smile.

And so HOLiC ends another Volume with cute to be followed by foreboding. HOLiC never changes. >_>

Ah, I think what it means is its like this: Remember the first time Watanuki came to the shop in the very first chapter? Turns out he has been to the shop before that in order to make a wish. He paid with his past and also forgot about making the wish.

Must be specific portions of his past only though, he didn't have complete amnesia like Sakura did.

He's gotta be one hell of an airhead to not notice he's forgotten his parents' names until he wanted to tell them to Sakura, though. Maybe it's normal for people who only call their parents by titles -- I wouldn't know.

I think Yuko looks a loot like Ruby Moon from CCS!! with the butterfly simbol and all, and i have this crazy idea in my head about Watanuki being son of Eriol and Tomoyo, maybe thats why he cooks so well(like his mom)
