I'd really hate to be Kurogane (or possibly Mokona) right now. It's like everyone knew that Sakura was a replica and no one had the decency to tell him anything. I'm glad that Fai's somewhat exaggerated attitude towards Sakura gained more context now. I think he really just wanted to make her feel accepted and loved.

Page 11: Wouldn't it be cool if Sakura-replica were actually Sakura-replica #9?

Page 16: Oh, Clow, you bastard, look at what you did!

And damn you, CLAMP, what happened to -- and what was -- Sakura's soul, already?

Yuuko and Fai keep very quiet when asked whether Sakura's soul disappeared... Is she dead for good? Is she still out there somewhere? If this is not resolved in the next chapter, I suggest we start calling the clone Schrodinger!Sakura or a shortened version of that, just for kicks.


Still, what Yuuko says on page 16 makes me think she'll turn out to be very dead indeed: I'm afraid CLAMP's going to use the dead!Sakura card to make us empathize with FWR (asschin himself, of course, will try to manipulate the team into letting him go ahead with his plan at some point so that everyone can reunite with their dead loved ones, including the Sakura they knew and loved).

Even though it's pretty clear that C!Sakura is gone, somehow, a bit of me wishes that CLAMP will pull another weird twist and somehow bring her back to life.

Even even though I am a die hard C!Syaoran fan, this chapter made me like R!Syaoran a bit more. Just a little bit.

Thanks for the great the translation, as usual!

A couple of suggestions:
On page 07, I think Fai is not speaking of any particular wish, he just tried to do everything he could to make Sakura happy. On page 16, what Yuuko says in her last bubble sounds to me more like: "If they have someone they didn't want to lose".

Let's hope there's some way to save both clones. Now that I think about it, if she dies, then Cloney will be miserable, which means at least two characters would have a sad ending, right? Thus, if what Clamp said about only one character with a sad ending if true, she must be alive somewhere. I know, I know, denial is not just a river in Egypt...

Well, we don't know whether the clone's breakdown in 179 will have any lasting effects, but I still don't think he's magically going to become Shaoran again. (And I don't want the manga to end with two Sakuras and two Shaorans.)

A long time ago, CLAMP anounced that Tsubasa will be 28 volumes long.... that's mean lik 225 chapters more or less... I really don't remember but chibiyuuto has the article

I know! I feel the same way after reading it. I'm still confused as to when Sakura started having a clone. I thought she had two souls after her feathers scattered, but one body. Now I'm not sure if she had two bodies and two souls. ...to mourn or not to mourn. That is the question. I hate cliff hangers like this.

Hahaha, I feel for Kurogane. I'm always the last person to find things out as well.

Um, was Syaoran not listening when Yuuko was talking about C!Sakura's soul, or is he just in denial? If the soul's cloned, then, R!Sakura must be...somewhere, I assume.

Ha! That sounds like my computer, before I deleted over 2000 files in the recycling bin and realized I should be cleaning out files by way of Disk Cleanup regularly anyways. XD
