Page 5, plus the end of this week's TRC chapter, gives me an ominous feeling. Aim right, Kurogane!

It just occurred to me that Fai nearly ruined Sakura's plan when he realized that she was pretending. Phew! That was a close one!

I'm glad that Sakura has explained where the heck she saw the similarity between Shaoran and Watanuki, but I still think she's on crack.

... all this make me wonder if Watanuki is Fei Wang long forgotten son or something... this would explain what does he have in common with the other two Clow descendant...
But Sakura... Sharoan's birthday isn't really April 1st... you gave him this birthday... for all we know he could have been born on January 1st... stop telling he HAS this birthday...

You know, I'm thinking that maybe Shaoran really -was- cloned on an April 1st. Though it's still weird for 2-3 dimensions to have the same calendar system. And are the parents that died really Watanuki's blood parents?

Yep it's weird but maybe it's just a translation thing... maybe the date Sakura is saying is 132 Gdfjkhajhd which correspond to April 1st in our language... or more likely CLAMP hadn't cared about this detail...

Back in Infinity, when she "hesitated" during one of the matches, Fai caught on it. He could have made the events stray from the course of the premonition, and that would have left Sakura trying to change a future that wasn't "set in place" anymore.

Hn. There's that egg again. So I'm guessing that the egg Doumeki is safe-guarding will come into play soon?

Also, I think its whats happening to R!Syaoran right now is whats happening to Watanuki. I think it all started when R!Syao stepped into Celes. Yuuko was wearing those Celes style clothes when Watanuki fainted after all and I can assume it was also around the time the TRC gang stepped into Celes. Also, with all those accidents happening to Watanuki before, we've never actually seen R!Syaoran reacting physically to them in return.

Hmmm, you're right about the Celes thing. I wonder if this is an effect of the three-world connection? Though that was supposed to have been closed after Chi and Freya went separate ways, wasn't it?

What the heck -is- Doumeki supposed to do with the egg? Take it to the dream world so that he can smash it on the clone's head? XD

I don't think its the world connection thing. I think its R!Syaoran's connection to Watanuki, whatever it is. Since R!Syaoran collapsed in TRC I could guess that the same thing is happening to Watanuki right now. Although we won't be able to know for a few more weeks.

Since CLAMP likes to go with symbols all I can say is that the eggs symbolizes birth. In this case I guess it symbolizes a new hope. There have been some indications that Watanuki is meant as a chance to change the future. The egg might have something to do with saving his life so that he can proceed what he was set out to do. I have a feeling the transition won't be pleasant since Yuuko warned Doumeki that he might have to hesitate. And for Doumeki that is a rare thing.

I'm itching for some HOLiC crossovers in TRC. I hate it that HOLiC's getting sold short when its such a great story and not just fangirl fodder.

This egg in particular gives me something of a "clone Chrono" vibe (in case you didn't play Chrono Trigger, clone Chrono is a lifeless replica of Chrono, who is used to save Chrono's life by replacing the real Chrono right before his death -- ironically enough it was an egg that allowed the swap to happen). Yuuko says the egg won't hatch, so I don't see much use for it other than being a scapegoat for Watanuki.

As for Yuuko's warning to Doumeki, I think it means that the solution to the "riddle" will seem illogical and paradoxal, and Doumeki will not be able to see enough to make sense of it. Additionally, maybe Watanuki himself is the one who will have to "see" and instruct Doumeki, and Doumeki will just have to trust his word.

He's a dreamseer to some extent. Syaoran's affraid he'll disappear (how?). And hes forgetting his parents.

About dreams:
With Sakura Watanuiki is wearing what looks like his PJs, when he then talks to Syaoran he's in his school uniform (what he's wearing in real life). When he's with Haruka he's in a Yukata thing.
Why do his clothes change depending on who summoned him?

Good point about Watanuki's dream world clothes.

Shaoran has been afraid that Watanuki will disappear for a long time now. That's what he paid the price for, most likely before he was imprisoned. I'm still a bit worried about the "alone but not alone" thing, too.

Yup, I noticed. I think Tsubasa is a wee bit beyond Holic, though, and we'll see Shaoran again shortly in Holic.

Watanuki not being real, in the sense of him being something like a feather or someone's dream, would suck. But I don't mind him being a magic creation or something like that, as long as he lives.

It's -too- suspicious how CLAMP has been hiding his parents' faces. I mean, it'd be easy to draw a random couple if they were unimportant to everything else.

I think Watanuki forgot his parents' names very recently. If he hadn't remembered back in the fortune-teller baa-chan chapters, he'd have noticed it -- I think.

I'm thinking that maybe Watanuki is a survivor from an erased timeline. It wouldn't be the first erased timeline we come across, and would explain the "impossible existence" thing, as well as the fear that he will "disappear" as opposed to "die", and it'd sorta explain the vision from 132.
