Does CLAMP like this number or what? This chapter is completely awesome!
Chapter 133
-01-
Top text: It's spring! It's sakura!! It's Yuuko-san!!!
Yuuko: Spring, isn't it?
-02-03- (splash: Kohane and Watanuki)
Inside fate, there is no coincidence---.
Whatever difficulties await,
if you really believe (T/N: It could be "if you can keep believing" or something along those lines, too. I'm not really familiar with "ikeru" to be able to decide.)
this meeting, this hitsuzen,
the future should certainly open up!!
-04-
Watanuki: Yeah, it's spring.
Watanuki: It's always this pattern, but
it's spring!! Indeed!
Yuuko: Watanuki is causing hysteria! (T/N: I can't figure out what "punsuka-" is supposed to be. T_T)
Mokona (SFX): He's angry! Pu---n!
Tanpopo: Pi!
-05-
Watanuki: I am causing hysteria too!
But today is my day!
Yuuko: Happy
Himawari: birthday!
Side text: Shouting and cooking briskly. The one accomplishment of the springtime of Watanuki's life!! Even the usual hysteria looks special this time only...!?
-06-
Watanuki: ... Eh?
Mokona (SFX): Congratulations---!
Congratulations---!
Yuuko: Today is April 1st.
Tanpopo: Pi!
Himawari: It's your birthday, right, Watanuki-kun?
Watanuki: Er...
Ah...
Yes.
Mokona: Happy--- birthday---!
Watanuki: Uwah!
-07-
Watanuki: Don't ring it beside my ear!
Watanuki (SFX): And don't be late on top of it!
Doumeki (SFX): Noisy.
Himawari: Here.
Watanuki: Eeeh?
F-for me?
Himawari: A present.
Watanuki: Can I open it?
Tanpopo: Pi!
Himawari: Of course!
-08-
Watanuki: Wah!
Himawari: I'm sorry it's bought.
Watanuki: Don't worry. Thank you.
I'm very glad!!
Himawari: ... This year it was impossible, but
next year I'll make it a handmade one.
-09-
Watanuki: I'll be looking forward to it.
Doumeki: Hn.
Watanuki: W-why you too...?
Watanuki (SFX): Well---
if you insist---
-10-
Himawari: Ah, so yours was a full apron, Doumeki-kun. (T/N: Cooking and fashion aren't my best subdomains in English, so if you know the proper word for that kind of apron, do tell me.)
Doumeki: Yeah.
Watanuki: You mean to tell me to cook more, don't you!!
Doumeki (SFX): Where's the difference between a full apron and an apron?
Watanuki (SFX): It's the difference in cuteness between you and Himawari-chan!!
Mokona: Mokona is going kissy---!
Himawari (SFX): Ah!
Watanuki: Gyah---!
-11-
Watanuki: Gyah---!!!
Watanuki (SFX): Uwaaaah!
Yuuko: The pipe fox also wants to celebrate with us.
Sexy, no, Watanuki?
Watanuki: Yuuko-san, you "give your congratulations" too!?
Watanuki: Well... I'm glad about that, but...
-12-
Yuuko: ... That's right.
-13-
Yuuko: It's all I can give you.
Watanuki: ... Yuuko-san.
-14-
Watanuki: ... Haruka-san.
-15-
Watanuki: I see.
Is this a dream?
Haruka: Yes.
Haruka: But, this too is one world.
-16-
Watanuki: I...
Watanuki: didn't intend for Yuuko-san to make that face... (T/N: Technically, the negative was left off, but in this case it's pretty obvious how he was going to end the sentence -- you don't say "ja" where he did unless you're intending to stick a "nai".)
Haruka: Because that person knows better than anyone.
Watanuki: What... does she?
-17-
Haruka: That what can be exchanged without payment
is only what is called "feelings". (T/N: "Omoi" can be a complicated word to translate. I think Haruka here is referring to everything that comes from the mind and heart. My dictionary gives all these possible meanings to "omoi": thought; mind; heart; feelings; emotion; sentiment; love; affection; desire; wish; hope; expectation; imagination; experience.)
-18-
Haruka: "One day, a man had a dream.
A dream of becoming a butterfly."
Haruka: "Fluttering and flying and flying,"
Haruka: "too freely enjoying himself,
the man thought he was a butterfly."
Haruka: "However, he woke up, and the man was not a butterfly, of course he was human."
Haruka: "The man thought:"
Haruka: "Was I having a dream where I became a butterfly,
or is this also a dream,"
Haruka: "and I am a dream that butterfly is having?"
-19-
Haruka: Even if it's a dream,
Haruka: if beliefs, hopes, your loved ones are there, that becomes truth. (T/N: The furigana reads "reality".)
Haruka: The butterfly that you also know well is always having that kind of dream.
Haruka: And,
that child too.
-20-
Teaser: The girl who appeared along with Haruka's recited allegory, could she be... "Sakura"!? Feelings, beliefs, the truth hidden in this figure that continues to dream is...!?
Haruka's line in page 19... I looked at it several times to try to find an alternate translation that didn't give me such an ominous feeling, and couldn't. I thought about breaking it between "shiru" and "chou", but it doesn't work because using "shiru" by itself without the continuous tense is rare.
A bit of a crackish thought: Remember what the fortune-teller baa-chan said about butterflies?
Even more crack, after commenting on the chapter with my kaa-san: If the "butterfly" Haruka talked about is Yuuko, what if her "dual" is Fei Wang Reed?
