Aaand more translations! No Holic for one freaking month, so that's it for today!

Three worlds

Eagle: It's the only automaton in this country that is equipped with the ability to move across dimensions.

This chapter is second only to the Sakura/Subaru conversation in terms of... complete lack of text. I read almost all of that chapter without even looking at a dictionary, and that was over six months ago, when my Japanese was much, much worse than it is today. This gotta be the first time -ever- that I manage to post the whole chapter translation at TF before the thread even breaks the second page, that's how little text this chapter has. *Thinks of the -hours- spent on Kobato.*

It's a pretty intense chapter, though, so the lack of text works very well.

And holy freaking shit, the tournament... is... over!!!

It's a good thing that Tsubasa is taking off now. With Holic on a one month break, I don't think if I can take any more of the same old Infinity formula.

I know I wanted to find out wants going to happen in holic. Well some of the clamp are sick from pollen -_-, *I get that too that maybe there reason for holic and kobato are on break. I think when Holic is back it would tie in with tsubasa.

I think I convinced [info]syaoranmew to put the Chi/Freya mirror pages side by side in his scanlation, I hope the other scanlators have the same idea. Those pages are going to totally rock together!

I'm more curious as for which world is the third world. I still think it's the Holic world, but I can't think of a reasonable explanation to that...

Well, I assumed it was the Holic world...seeing as how Real!Syaoran paid the price to save Watanuki's life before...And how the egg Sakura gave Yuuko mysteriously multiplied...But who knows.

Not to mention Yuuko is also "fighting" against Fei Wang, even though he never appeared in Holic. But CLAMP could surprise us, since everyone seems to be thinking in the same way, and they *love* plot twists^_^.

I think it makes sense that the third world is Holic, because of Yuuko's line and the instabilities that seem to be going on over there, but that would mean that either the Holic world is the world Sakura wants to go to, or that the second warp has no relationship whatsoever to the reaction between Chi and Freya. We'll probably find out when the next spoilers are out...

They do say that the three worlds are connected, so i'm thinking that means she has to be going to one of the other two most deffinately, or the "otherworld" she wishes to go to should have opened up as well... right? ><

but then again Clamp loves to throw us for a couple loops and plot twists, so I'm sure anything ccan happen right about now >P

so... that tube looking item that yuuko has on the last page... it looks kind of like the tube with the division in the center that sakura and syaoran (but which syaoran?) are stuck in at the very beginning of the series... doesn't it? just smaller? that's very interesting... or maybe i'm just remembering it wrong. lol

Well, I don't think anyone has been able to spot any difference other than the size. That tube also showed up in chapter 131 of Holic -- apparently the scene in this chapter happened right after her scene there.

As for which Shaoran, of course I'd like it to be the real one, but it's not decided. If the clone doesn't lose Fai's eye, though, it probably isn't him. I'm leaning more towards that Shaoran being Sakura's perception of "Shaoran", which at the time was other Shaoran.

when the whole eye thing happened, i flew back to that opening scene, and his head is turned just where you can't see whether that eye is blue or brown. lol either clamp had his head turned on purpose, or they put the blue eye on the right just so you can't tell from the opening.. sneaky buggers. ^^ i'm in suspense. I'm kind of hoping the clone shaoran gets his "heart" and memories back--b/c he fell in love with sakura and sakura with him, despite the fact that he's a heartless clone. I just don't really understand why the real shaoran loves sakura--just watching her and their adventures is like watching TV... i dono, i hope some light is shed on why he has feelings for her, and then i might jump ship and move to the real shaoran camp. XD seeing his face as he grabs her hand to stop her... is a lil heart-wrenching...

The way I see it, watching Sakura through the clone's eyes was enough for Shaoran to fall in love with her because he's her soulmate. It wasn't quite like watching TV -- he knew that Sakura is real, and it was a "TV show" where the "main character" is, in a way, himself (although I'm not sure he fully acknowledged the part about the "main character" being himself). When other Shaoran (i.e. the one in the clone's body) and Sakura fell in love, it was Shaoran's soul. That part wouldn't have been different if it had been the real Shaoran in there. His having watched Sakura for all that time without being able to let her know he was there even once makes it all the more painful.

Ah, I got a little carried away... ^_^' Anyway! The thing with the chapter 1 vision is that Shaoran's eyes are drawn exactly alike in the B/W pages where we see both of his eyes. Ever since the clone stole Fai's eye, CLAMP hasn't once drawn his eyes exactly alike: it's always one solid black and the other only outlined.
